The MWC won't kill the WAC. The MWC had a chance in taking Fresno and Boise last year.....they took TCU instead. The MWC needs the WAC to survive....they don't want to be seen as the ones who killed the WAC by taking their best schools. The MWC might expand to just one team....to make it 10 and more than likely....they'll invite a school that can be TCU's travel partner. IMO, the WAC should be more concerned they'll get raided by C-USA....not the MWC. If C-USA loses 2 schools to the Big East....then C-USA will invite Louisiana Tech and North Texas. New Mexico State might be invited too if UTEP wants them in.....they'll jump ship in a NY minute....they'll be happy to be UTEP's conference mate.

Anyway....the WAC should be prepared to any scenario. They should contact Montana and Northern Arizona to move to Div 1-A ASAP (Flagstaff is less than 2 hours away from Phoenix...I'm sure the WAC wants an Arizona school in its conference). If the WAC loses 1 or 2 schools....then Montana and NAU can fill that void and the WAC stays alive. This is if New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech leave the WAC:

Boise State
Fresno State
Nevada
Idaho
San Jose State
Hawaii
Utah State
Montana
Northern Arizona

Note: This is my opinion. My opinions do not reflect the WAC's or any other schools views. This is going to be a long and boring summer....can't wait for football.

There is one basic reason for the MWC to expand - more money for each individual school. It is the reason they were created in the first place. Any school that increases revenue for each of the current MWC schools would be considered for an invitation.

Because of this, I don't expect the MWC to expand anytime in the near future. Of course that won't prevent massive speculation on message boards.

As I understand it, what we don't understand is that Leonardo understands that there is an understanding between these burgeoning D1A powerhouses and "other conferences." If the WAC doesn't understand this understanding, then one of the understanding conferences will swoop in under the WAC's stand and snatch these gems away from us! Understand? That's OK, neither do I.
Sorry I missed this one. And yes I don't quite understand it, unless I actually do, in which case I don't, because if I did I would.

And, in honor of Jonesy, I quote the following:
