Practice
Does anybody know if practices are open to the public and if so when are they?
My girlfriend's best friend is coming to visit and she wants to see some hockey.

RE: Practice
Not sure about practice being open....but I'd like to go on record for livening up this board. Too dry people, let's stir the pot. I know there's a place to talk smack. I'm not advocating that here. Let's get some passion behind the posts. Fire up people, hockey's almost here and I'm just not feeling it. Last night I was all set to put the puck in play and the gfriend tells me she's pulled the goalie. Talk about a buzz kill, well, that's the same feeling I get when I read most of the posts. Fire the coach, what about the goalie, blah, blah, blah.....broken records....let's hear about the great plays, solid hits and the pride we all have in Bronco hockey.
Sorry about the above post...forgot to take my med's this morning, but you all get the idea. P.S., Chris Frank is my God. OUT!

RE: Practice
Wouldn't pulling the goalie leave you with an open net and an easy scoring opportunity?

RE: Practice
This forum will fire up, trust me. This is Culhane's swan song season. He either produces or hits the bricks. He's had his years, he's had his Mulligan's. You can't make a career out of "Wait until next year!". Sooner or later you need to can the excuses, pack up the BS and start winning games or make way for someone who can.
JC knows this is that season. Winning talks, BS walks.

She didn't pull the goalie, just informed you that your stick might as well be on the bench because you weren't going to be putting the puck in the net at all.

Well, it was still game on at the old bedroom ice rink.....I let her skate with an exta attacker if you know what i mean. It will be a long season, but I've stocked the puck bag with extra rubber and the ice is near perfect hardness so it seems that when the teams face off anything can happen. I just hope she doesn't drop the mits too often.

RE: Practice
For the record. All practices in all sports at WMU are open to the public as a general rule. Occasionally there are exceptions, but those are usually out of necessity and not out of a desire to hide practices from the public

This does not make me want to post about hockey!

What? It's all about hockey. So, the Brown and Gold game is coming up. Any news on rosters, who to watch, etc? I'm excited for the season to begin. Looking forward to the team moving up in the standings and rolling through the division. Not sure why there are so many in/out's. Two's usually enough to put the game away and head to the showers.

C Max Campbell. He was drafted by the NY Rangers in the 5th round

RE: Practice
New players to look at (in addition to Campbell) are: Ryan Watson, a Florida Panthers draft pick... Jerry Kuhn, one of the top goalies in the USHL last year and should at the very least push Gill for some playing time... Mike Levendusky is a top D-man that should be in the line-up regularly from day 1.
