I've ran over a turtle before on accident. Never an owl.

Good to see Smacktalk is back to it's pointless argument self. When's the first game again?

"Air predators are a another type of predator that attack our chickens. Hawks and owls swoop down and grab up a chicken and fly away with it. Too many times we have found an owl or hawk on the road munching on one of our chickens."

see they are tough

RE: Back to the red clay state
Me and Kevin were talking to a few UT students this past weekend, and were having a few laughs at the expense of ETSU, its students, and town. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

We also had a long conversation while sitting in a bar in Kennesaw about how fast we could be in Atlanta if we wanted to go down town right away, they specifically said, "Wow Kennesaw is so close to Atlanta.. you should just call it Atlanta"

Hey Collin, Mexico is so close to the United States so why don't we just call it the U.S.?

You have to love flawed logic

This coming from someone who is from the "tri cities" area... why not give them one label (that others from far away will recognize) since the cities are so close to each other? Weird.. Oh wait they did. One of the UT girls actually thought she was in Atlanta lol.

I hope you aren't in school to become a lawyer. You'd never make it.

I don't believe we took Kingsport and called it Johnson City.

RE: Back to the red clay state
I think you missed my point... Notice I never made reference to Kennesaw being Atlanta. I just pointed out that people often label a town or city due to its proximity to another. For instance, the tri cities area surely includes other towns and cities outside of Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol and residents in these other communities most likely tell others they are from the tri cities area. Hence, the idea of being a suburb (or CLOSE to a larger city!) and using the larger more recognizable label to demonstrate your location to others- enter the term Metro Atlanta. Collin was just making reference to the ETSU argument that Kennesaw is not a suburb of Atlanta when it clearly is. I am done with it!

But either way the UT fans laughed at ETSU and were almost on the floor when we told them how you guys thought you were a powerhouse in the past.

But just for Goldfinger... Kennesaw Fans can we please refer to Kennesaw as Metro Atlanta now. Thanks.

RE: Back to the red clay state
It was Collins "friend" who said you should call it Atlanta.

You cannot compare the Tricities to suburbs. They are three seperate cities with three seperate names. It is no different from the TRI-State area. Nobody calls one of the three states the other. When they are grouped together for reasons of comparisons...a completely different name is used. The reason for this is that they are all relatively equal to each other in stature. The same cannot be said for suburbs. Of which Kennesaw is not.

But even if Kennesaw were a suburb of Atlanta....WHO ******* CARES? WHY DO YOU PEOPLE INSIST ON GOING ON ABOUT IT. NOBODY GIVES A ****. YOU ARE THE SAME LITTLE RANK AMATUER TEAM AS A SUBURB OF ATLANTA THAT YOU ARE AS A COMPLETELY SEPERATE ENTITY. LET IT GO MAN!

I would think one would rather stand on his own rather than being grouped into a larger city. But then again I've always been one for independence.

And as far as the UT students...three years ago UT basketball wasn't worth its weight in cow dung. And the so-called students that you talked to are most likely too young to remember ETSU's national scene. And even if they do...they're ignorant opinions can't take down the top ten banner at the dome.

Please lets not call it a dome... it is an airplane hanger... keep it real.
I think you missed my point again... I was highlighting cities or towns outside of the three named cities in the area who are still held under the same label. But this is stupid. I am done!
