Changes Coming to Bramlage
Quote:No, fans won't be turned around when they enter Bramlage Coliseum this year, but everything will be the flip-flopped from recent seasons.
The team benches will now be located on the west side of the court instead of the east, with the Wildcats' bench located at the north end, or away from the tunnel.
The east side of the court will have the 20 courtside seats, flanked on both sides by press row.
The KSU pep band will also switch ends of the floor, and will be located to the right of the tunnel with some of the band members located in the coliseum seats.
''The NCAA and Big 12 Conference are pushing a sportsmanship policy,'' McGuffin said of the moves. ''We were one of only two schools to have its students directly behind the visiting team bench last year. While we didn't have any issues, it's just a move to help promote sportsmanship.''
The same type of move is being made in football this year, as the KSU marching band will be moved from behind the visitor's bench to inside the south 25-yard-line.

I must agree, that is part of college sports in putting the visiting bench infront of the student section or the band. This has hurt our home court advantage slightly I believe.
