I'm sorry but the notion that baseball is a major college sport is ridiculous. College sports has two mighty entities and they are Football and Basketball. Everything else pales in comparison.


ETSU beats UT in baseball...not really that big of a deal. ETSU beats UT in basketball, that was important.

In Tennessee there are two sports, football and basketball in that order. The minor sports don't get any print. Just the facts and ETSU fans understand the facts.

Folks we have debated this for an eternity (or so it seems). ETSU is in the A-Sun because of a bad decision regarding football, not because there was a desire to move to the A-Sun.

You aren't going to find any ETSU fans happy that the A-Sun was the best that ETSU could do.

The small sports don't get the print because there isn't a significant audience for them. Society at large dictates which sports are to be prestigious and which sports matter not. Only two collegiate sports have ever captured the hearts and minds of the masses. Do any of you actually care if your school wins the conference in women's volleyball? If you answer yes then you are probably lying to everyone here as well as yourselves. If by some rare chance you actually do care then you probably represent less than one percent of the overall population. Therefor, lesser sports not obtaining any print, should not be difficult to grasp. Nor is my non-interest in them.

Look, I don't know of anyone genuinely happy we are here because we all love football and none of our schools have football. The ASun is that place for schools without football. Those are the facts.

I was touting the all A-sun sports trophy for slightly different reasons. Don't think for a second that it actually meant anything to any of us to receive it.

I will be getting it for four months as well gold as I am not all that into baseball either. However, I would still love to see KSU baseball improve!
