Looks like Ankiel and Barry have something in common.

Thats alright . . . as long as he keeps hitting HR's and base hits and helps the Cards to the playoffs, I don't really care what he did four years ago.

A 12 month supply of HGH is a whole lotta juice!

He does have a big damn head. As a Cardinal fan, this makes me uneasy, as controversy kills playoff drives.

Now we know how he turned himself into a power hitter.

Seriously. I was starting to wonder the same thing. I mean the guy was a better than average hitter when he was a pitcher, but seriously. It's truly one of the best stories in baseball, what he has done so far. I'm not a Cardinal fan, and find myself rooting for this guy, however if this comes out to be true this would be disastrous.

If size alone made you a good hitter, we'd see wrestlers taking up baseball. hGH doesn't help you hit a curveball, otherwise Bo Hart would have loaded up on the stuff. Ankiel is the real deal. He batted .250 as a pitcher the year he lost his stuff, he goes back, actually focuses on hitting and improves to a current .358 average - Not that far fetched.

Ankiel has turned into a dominant power hitter. Obviously he had some help. It is still a good story, but this will cloud it beyond measure.

I am sorry that he did the HGH, and this will make baseball look that much worse. As a baseball fan, I hate to see these things happen. As a Cardinals fan, this makes me a little more upset as it makes the team look bad.

well even if the report is true(which it very well may be), it was supposedly before HGH was a substance banned by major league baseball. i doubt he gets any punishment other than increased testing. still doesnt look good for him, the cardinals or MLB
