PFL Watch - 2007
Drake (generally picked 2nd behind San Diego) won at full-scholarship Illinois State 27-24. Big, big win for the non-scholarship PFL.

RE: PFL Watch - 2007
Illinois State is currently ranked #7 in the I-AA (FCS) poll. Drake will probably get a tougher test in three weeks against Northern Iowa, the I-AA runnerup two years ago.

Meanwhile, I see Jacksonville is hanging in there with Bethune-Cookman. 'Down 17-10 in the fourth quarter.

PFL teams are playing teams with various scholarship levels (NAIA=24, D-II=36, I-AA= up to 63). But all but one PFL team playing this week is taking on someone with "full scholarships." Illinois State and BCC are the ones at 63 equivalencies.

JU ultimately lost 31-17. All other PFL teams in action this week won their games.

Now, I'm really starting to wonder where we will be in those standings this time next year. Can we beat Valpo? Can we beat Butler? Campbell will be very young...youngest in the nation, obviously.

I won't be totally disappointed if we go 0-11 next year....at least we'll have that Saturday game experience. Awesome!!

Dayton and San Diego, the two PFL teams that have been nationally ranked this year, share the title. Dayton will host the Gridiron Classic against the Northeast Conference champion on Dec 1.
