Unfortunately nothing is really going. We have yet to organize a meeting, delegate responsibilities, or do something more with the group.

we just need more people... I think me and Eric and Ryne would about be the only three to show up.

I had some emails of people who wanted to get involved. We need to transform Red Riot into something more than basketball to generate interest but also to get our name around campus. We need to start organizing community service projects, fundraisers, and other things at games. We can't just be a group of people that are supposed to show up to games.

i dont think half of those people were very serious. I sent several emails to them asking them if they would like to get involved in certain ways and they never followed through.

But i really do want to transform this into something more formal on the administrative side, don't get me wrong. It would probably be good to just get in the habit of having meetings and stuff. I was scared at first because I didn't really understand organizations yet, but I think it will be better now, I've been in a lot this past semester and I'm getting the hang of things a little better.. So my help will be more useful now thanks to that.

Do you think meetings this year will still be useful? I would like to do some service projects and things. I do know that we are getting a relay for life team going for sure this time. I want to be able to give Red Riot points for that to (a new system that is in development...)

Also, snoopy, speaking of that. Do you know if the website supports either ASP or MySQL? Could you find out for me? I don't know who to contact about that.

If that's true then we have to go out and find those people. I had a couple girls respond back to me but i had to put them on hold because i didn't know when/if we were going to ever have a meeting. We need to get freshmen involved. They are young and looking for something to be involved with. Plus, they'll be the one's to take over the group and responsibilities once we graduate.

It's imperative that we broaden the scope of Red Riot. If we don't, this whole thing is going to dissolve just like the Dog Pound. I don't know much about the Dog Pound but i'm assuming they didn't branch the group out to do anything more than showing up at games.

Definitely, we need to find other people to bring on board. We need to have meetings so we can delegate those people responsibilities. We also need to have meetings so we can discuss ideas and things to do for next season's basketball team. Plus, i graduate in May, so someone is going to have to take over responsibility of the website soon. I might be able to do it up until August but after that i have no idea.

You'd contact PSE NIU about that. He's the one hosting our site. I'm sure his server can support those languages though.

P.S. -- I need you to send me all those Riot Acts you did this year to so i can put them on our website. Put them in a zip file. Send them to the Red Riot gmail account. Thanks!

ok, that will be my spring break project. I have to convert them all to something people can actually download without having to have publisher, so you will get them soon.

I have publisher, that's no problem. Just send me all those files. You sent me them before and i converted them all into .gif files so people could view them on the website.
