Are you Repubs in denial?
No posts on the "cruising" Republican Idaho senator? Trying to avoid the truth about many of your "family values" crusaders? 05-stirthepot

I do find it interesting that some of the most outspoken people against something turn out to be the very thing they publically abhor.

RE: Are you Repubs in denial?
There have been whispers about this guy for years. The funny thing is that he has been pretty careful to have dodged things for this long and then to get caught for playing footsie in a men's room stall is a bit ambiguous. Where are camera phones when you need them? There must have been some verbal conversation to make a case for an arrest.

He deserves what he gets.

Difference between us and you Robert Al-N is we hold our leaders to account. If he was a Dem you would be applauding him as brave and calling us bigots for calling him out for what he did.

Exactly. The dems have a former klansmen and a guy who killed a woman as two of their patriarchs of the party.

However, republicans have made "family values" the cornerstone of the party. I think the point RobertN is making is the hipocrisy of it all.

yeah, if these accusations are true, he should be held accountable. I don't intend to "avoid" any truth. People, especially politicians, should practice what they preach.

Yes, there are family value crusaders within the Republican Party, but that doesn't make the entire party immune from idiocy. The difference between the two parties and family values is that perversion/immorality is generally championed and celebrated by the democrats and generally punished by the republicans.

And not shockingly his logic is pitiful to say the least.

Craig didn't solicit sex in a bathroom because he's a republican. Yes HE is a hypocrit. And the reaction of the republican leadership in calling for immediate ethics investigations shows that they do in fact take the family values seriously.

Dems would be protecting him and calling it a "witch hunt" by the "vast right wing conspiracy".

It's not the fact that he solicited for sex in a bathroom, it's the fact that he plead guilty and tried to cover it up.

summary:

Profiling for Repub. gay's in Airport bathroom by Law Enforcement, by looking for tapping shoes in stalls: Good

Profiling for terrorist in the airport: Bad

---------

the reason Craig is screwed is the Repub. party has a moral compass. If he had a D next to his name, my guess is we'd be hearing how horrible it is to profile in airports and how their is nothing wrong with sexual acts between consenting adults, 'who are we to judge'...etc.

he plead guilty to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges, nothing sex related for soliciting sex as you'd think they'd charge and would be a felony.

That's generally why people plead guilty, to get out of harsher charges.

RE: Are you Repubs in denial?
I think the guy should be run out of the Senate on a rail. He is a sick tool and a delusional if he thinks anybody is going to buy the story he is selling. A U.S. Senator did not know the ramifications of pleading guilty in a courtroom01-wingedeagle

With that said, politicians tend to be hypocrites because their main priority is winning elections and mantaining power. They choose positions that allow them to gain that power. If it is playing the family values card then that is what they go with. Does anybody really think multi-millionaire John Edwards lies awake at night worrying about the poor and middle class?? These guys are all part of a well orchestrated game that both sides play. Find issues that sell to the public and then go pitch them so you can win and control the power in D.C.

Please refer back to Robert Al-N's post to view my response in the correct context.

To quote Ron White. "That's profiling and that's wrong."

RE: Are you Repubs in denial?
The Chairman of MARTA here in Atlanta got caught by the cops doing the same thing in a Men's Room at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

I thought: What kind of idiot would troll for a head job in a crowded airport Mens Room?

Turns out, this is apparently an "IN" thing among switch-hitter Politicos...

I have a feeling that Craig will have resigned from his Senate position by the time they get back into session after Labor Day.

The people I'm talking about did their deeds while in office. What was your point again? 01-wingedeagle

Also, 2 DUIs? He admitted to one.....leaving you moonbats at a brick wall. Hell, go to DU (More than likely you're already there). About 3/4s of their users are admitted drugees.

Once again, you don't know what you're talking about. You weren't very good at the game where you put plastic blocks in their respective shaped openings, were you?
