Ball tried to shrug off the losses to Georgia as having any more significance than losses to any other team.

"I want to win every game I play," Ball said. "I don't care who I'm playing. I don't buy into the rivalry thing. That's for y'all to do. I go out, I don't care if it's a team of old ladies playing flag football, I want to win. I want to win. So I don't play into this rivalry crap. Y'all can write about it and do all that."

Ball, a senior, fell to 0-4 against the Bulldogs while Georgia Tech's overall losing streak in the series was stretched to six games. Has Georgia been a speed bump in Ball's career?

"C'mon dog, it's a game," Ball said after Saturday's 15-12 loss to the Bulldogs. "It's a game. Georgia don't mean ... Georgia is Georgia. They're a good football team but they ain't no speed bump or anything like that."

Even when compared with his previous struggles against Georgia, Saturday's effort was a statistical nightmare.

Ball was only 6-for-22 passing for 42 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble that was returned for a touchdown.


"He didn't play as well as he's played in games past this year," said Tech coach Chan Gailey. "He didn't play as well as he has."

Get him the f*** out of there. He doesn't need to take another snap. Anybody else watch him be all jovial on the sidelines? The players acted like he wasn't even there. He went straight for the locker room w/o shaking hands.
