"Moore" Lance
Saints coach Sean Payton commenting on Lance's performance to date following the Cincinnati game:

"I don't want the kid to get the big head, but when it comes to catching passes he looks like a 5-9 guy playing the position like a 6-4 Marques Colston. So far, he's catching everything. When it comes to a return man, he showed me something on that 47-yard kickoff return. He showed patience in picking his daylight, in setting up his blocks. He used two instinctive juke moves to get into the clear. More and more, he looks like a keeper."

Man, I love to hear that kind of talk.

Receiver Mom, Are you still reading the posts on this board? You've got to be beaming with pride.

Hi, it's Receivermom- Yes, I am thrilled with Lance's opportunity. He isn't doing anything that surprises me, and I'm sure it doesn't surprise any of you, either. He just needed to be patient and wait his turn to get playing time. I think one of the things Coach Payton likes most about him is intelligence. They have taught him all three receiver positions down there. He has the smarts and skills to learn all the plays for all three. He is causing some headaches because he is catching the ball better than folks who are ahead of him on the depth chart. His talent it hard to ignore. I was in Cincinnati for the game on Saturday, and I have plans to go to the opening game in Indy. It's great fun!!!

Can't wait to see Nick and the Rockets whip up on Purdue in a couple of weeks!

Congrats Receivermom!

All of us on here knew that Lance could succeed in the NFL if he was given the chance. We wish him luck!

Now it's Nick's turn to rewrite the Toledo record book.

PS-I noticed you don't have your 'Receivermom' user ID. I'm sure one of the Administrators could reset it for you if you'd like.

Go Rockets!
