UC's final season ticket numbers (estimated)
Mike Waddell, UC's assistant AD, told Bearcat Insider (Scout) that the final number of individual season tickets is expected to be between 8000-8200. Add to that the corporate season tickets sold and UC has a total just over 12,000 total tickets. MUCH higher than in years past, and this is the first time UC football isn't piggy backing off of basketball in terms of forcing basketball season ticket holders to get football as well.

Don't forget that abut half the football tickets bought were never used because they were bought by people who really only wanted basketball tickets.

Congrats on the increased sales. It is good to see that the fans in Cincy are starting to take notice that they have a great football program competing in a BCS conference. Keep up the good work.

Beating an undefeated #1 WVU team would help us double that number for 2008.

Great job guys. We only sold 11K season tickets last year this year the whole place is sold out. Not a single game ticket to be had and several OOC opponents sold their alotment mostly to our fans looking for single game tickets. I wanna see it up to maybe 17K for you guys next year. And then I wanna hear about stadium expansion soon too. There is no reason once you get it going that Cincy can't be a nasty football school with all the talent in Ohio and only 2 BCS programs.

Congratulations Rutgers on your season ticket sales this year.

And yes, a new basketball arena, stadium expansion, and indoor practice facility are in UC's future.

Shoemaker has been around for 20 years, which isn't to old, but the design of it isn't that great.

Opened in 1989 and is a horrible arena too. It was designed as a multipurpose arena, and we really need a basketball focused place to play. Anyone who has been there can tell you we could do much better. The only good thing is that it is a difficult place for opponents to play in, it gets very loud.

Something else that would be nice is an indoor facilities for football and others stuff, similar to what Central Michigan has. I noticed the pictures of their stadium when we hired Brian Kelly. That would help with recruiting a ton.
