QB Mauk out for season
http://wakeforestsports.cstv.com/sports/...06aaa.html
Quote:Wake Forest quarterback Benjamin Mauk has been ruled out indefinitely and may not return this season. Mauk, a junior from Kenton, Ohio, suffered a broken right arm and dislocated right shoulder during Wake Forest's 20-10 season opening win against Syracuse on Saturday.
Since Mauk took a voluntary redshirt his freshman year, the jury is still out as to whether he can take a medical hardship waiver and obtain a 6th year. We'll see...in the meantime, wishing Benjamin a healthy recovery!

We have 2 RS freshmen, Riley Skinner & Brett Hodges, backing up Mauk. Skinner will be the starter vs. dook. We also have a true freshman, Zach MaaDowell from Harrison HS here in Cobb County, who enrolled in January and went through spring practice. So none of them have game experience.

Good thing you have a bye-week with Duke to practice.

Ouch. I heard the kid from Harrison was pretty good. I played some baseball with some folk from that area. Look at the bright side: You will have a guy that will start all 4 years of his college career...like...Reggie Ball.
Wait...bad analogy
