well..i'm hoping he's prepping or something. cuz he was really that good. I'm not really worried, cuz we still have a good amount of size..problem being we dont have that true center. Hopefully Allison has got better. I could also see Tanner Jacobs playing there.

He is going to prep school is what I heard. He did not make his grades. He is still committed to KSU, and will be signing during the early sign period in November.

Alright, what does prepping mean really? Go to a smaller school for a season or private school. I'm out of the loop on that. When would he be elligible to play?

prep school is to help get students ready for higher education. He'll get to play ball still with guys his age, he'll have time to bulk up some and the great thing is he doesnt lose a single year of eligibility at KSU.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Tim Smith did this before he came to ETSU

In the long run it could work out better as he will have more years with us when we can make the post-season.

However, are we sure that he is going to prep school or are we just guessing? Are we sure he is still coming to ksu? If anyone would like to email coach that would be sweet.

Sure did. I think it help these kids a lot, especially maturity-wise. I think they realize they gotta get their act together academically.

Allison's huge. What's his story? Has he shown some promise in games/practice? I'm a firm believer that you can't teach heighth, as the old coaching cliche' goes. My experience with these 7-footers is that they primarily need strength. Even if he's improved moderately in the off season, should be tough for ASUN opponents, there's simply no size in the ASUN

allison is stronger then he looks, and has a good mid range jumper with a decent hook shot. problem with him he lacks balance and toughness. I think he can improve and become a legit starter, but he's going to have to get some playing time, cuz thats the only way he's going to get better.

I wouldnt count on Allison this year. But who knows. He seems to be a very skilled big man, but doesn't have a real tough mindset ingrained in him yet. It will be interesting to see what comes of his first year and what will happen when he is put in a game. He is definitely very very skinny, but that isnt always the worst thing for someone of his age. He still has 4 years...my guess is that he is very unproductive for a decent while until he finally "gets it" and realizes how good he really can be. At that point I think he will start to put the time in the weight room, and really take his basketball game seriously.

Ladaris and Cummings have both verbally committed to Kennesaw from what I have heard. It is merely a matter of waiting until the early signing period to bring them in. Both of these players will only have one year of Non-NCAA tournament action, and to be honest the year that they are coming in will have a decent shot to head to the NIT. Basketball season is only a few months away....I can't wait to see Kennesaw on the court. I wont be able to make as many games this year, but I am hoping to see them several times.

I'm thinking allison will be at his best by his junior year. This year will be a learning year for him. He kinda plays like Yao ming did his first year and a half in the nba. Very soft. The past couple years though Yao has figured out he's stronger and bigger and ofcourse he was the best center in the league. maybe Allison can figure that out sooner then Yao did.

I think I saw Allison last night at a party. There were a few others out in attendance that I didn't get good looks at.

AND I was sittin outside a house drinkin a beer around 2 am and some guy comes running by dribbling a basketball with his left hand. Don't know who he is either (too dark, too drunk) but I don't know any rec-leaguers that dedicated. It was right next to campus.

I would be interested to know who that was. Although that is kind of a ridiculous example, that is the kind of dedication it takes to be great. Hopefully that was one of our guys. You always hear crazy stories of the great ones playing basketball in the pouring rain, in freezing conditions, at 3am...some of these guys just love the game that much. It is fun to see a kid fall in love with the game of basketball, and use it to get an education and help himself out in life...let us know if you figure out who the unknown "dribbler" was...

My first post here. I've followed everything Owls related since I got accepted in 05'. I love following recruting and sports year around and I'm a member of larger sites (rivals). Although I've done a lot of searching I just now found a KSU forum.

Anyway on to the topic it kind of sucks about Green. Anyone know if he will stay committed to KSU? After his time at the prep school it'd be awesome to get him in here.

There's a good football post if that interests you, everything about the Striped Crew and other good recruiting information. I don't know if there's much on Rivals about KSU, I haven't looked. Maybe you can fill us in if you have an account with them.

A word of warning, the ETSU fans are pretty hostile and we try to keep it separated as much as possible between smack talk (fair game), the regular boards, and respect everyones "homes" for school chat. Overall it's been extremely dead because of the offseason but should pick up soon with November getting closer and closer.

Thanks a lot. Nah Kennesaw doesn't have a Rivals page. I've done a lot of checking over the past year...lol... I have read some good articles on a few KSU recruits in the rivals database though. I really hope we can get Green in here. That was a recruit I was really excited about watching grow in our program (and take us to the next level). Hopefully he can make it here and still do those things for us. Thanks for the warning on the ETSU fanbase...
