Thanks for the heads up. Went and voted just now. Hopefully with school starting back and everything things will pick up. Maybe we can get some more "school spirit" online and in the stands.

Its going to be a lot harder now with me not living on campus and having an hour drive to make but I'll most def. be there when I can. Do you know Green, or just heard from a good source? Thats some awesome news if true. Biggest recruit on our roster, it'd be a shame to lose him.

Ingle told me. And he is for real. i saw him play once, and he will def be a major impact right away. I need to find out what school he's prepping at. cuz i wouldnt mind watching him and Markeith Cumming(another great KSU recruit) play.

Suppose there isn't a better source than that, eh? From everything I've read Ladaris' blocks are something to be excited about. He has good height already and this year at prep school will only give him more time to get a bigger frame.

Oh and just a heads up..not sure if they are prepping at the same school but Markeith is prepping at Mt. Zion in North Carolina..

And not only does Green have great athletic ability..but his timing is incredible. and i think rivals had him listed at 175..he's at least 200 when i saw him play. he's bulking up.

Yeah, the biggest excitement is that we're getting these players when we're on the tail end of probation. I think it's been more difficult than it needed to be to recruit big names and get them to come here because we can't go for a conference championship (then NCAA...).

Don't have any reason to doubt you guys when you're going on about these big names. Sounds exciting.

Exactly. Things should start looking up in a hurry. Hopefully we start to come out of our shell this season. We are in a great location for recruiting (just outside of Atlanta) not to mention we have a lot of great baseball/basketball recruits in Georgia. Our location, mixed with the fact that we are D1 should really start to turn these two programs around.

I'm trying to work with the striped crew to help our less than stellar attendance, got any ideas to get students and the community behind the athletics?

I don't really know. I was hoping with us being D1 attendance wouldn't be a big issue. Seems thats not the case. Most KSU students I talk to have very little idea about our sports programs. They don't know the players involved, they haven't heard of recruits I mention, and the day after the games they have no clue who won. I'm not sure but maybe we aren't advertising our games enough? There seems to be little word around campus about when a game is. Also being so close to GT it seems a lot fans still suppor them... The best way to solve this problem is to win. Its hard to support, or get behind a team when they are struggling.

Be careful mentioning our location on these boards...apparently the ETSU fans are under the impression that Kennesaw is not a part of the Atlanta suburbs, and that we are small backwoods town of about 20,000.



When I first came to the boards I mentioned something to the same effect as you just did .... that we had a great location being in the Atlanta suburbs, and it turned into a month long battle.

Thanks for the heads up. lol..Being that we're 20 miles away from Atlanta, I would think it would work in our favor.

Not to mention ALL of the high recruiting schools are on the northside. AJC had a special section on Sunday with the Georgia football talent which I wouldn't hesitate to relate to basketball talent. I can't find it online, wish I could find their chart with all the counties with numbers of sec/acc players they have.
