Walnut Grove Closing
Just a head's up for anyone who might be interested. I got the following email from the project manager for the Walnut Grove / Humphreys Blvd project.

Quote:On Monday the 13th, Walnut Grove Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from the interstate to Brierview Street. This will take place from the hours of 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. The purpose of the closure is to tie in some asphalt paving in this area. The paving is not expected to run into Tuesday.

It would advisable to avoid this area if at all possible. School will be starting and we expect an increase in traffic in this area.

When the paving in this area is complete there will be two lanes eastbound plus a lane that will run from the exit ramp at the interstate up to the main entrance at Baptist Hospital. Going eastbound there will be two lanes beginning at the main Baptist Hospital entrance plus two additional lanes that will terminate at the east entrance ramp at 240.

We will also be installing video detection cameras next week at the traffic signals. The cameras will enable us to better coordinate the traffic signals along the project.
