Garnett to Celtics
It's (pretty much) official, Minnesota's franchise has been traded to the city of Boston. Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/sto...ons/070730
As a Bulls fan, I am very disappointed. I wished Paxon could have made this deal possible for the Bulls. McHale sure didn't waste time making Boston a contender again after having one of the worst records in the NBA last year. Boston now has three potential All-Stars: Pierce, Allen, and KG..wow.

Boston has those three allstars but they have nothing behind them, this is a team that will have great starting play but the people coming off the bench will severly hurt this team, no doubt they make the playoffs but the celtics just wont have the depth to win it all

Although I see what you're saying, I'm going to have to disagree. Look at the Cavs: Lebron practically carried his team to the Finals by himself without having a legitimate second scorer. The Celtics could surround their big three with anybody and they would still be in a good position to contend for the Finals.

One other observation....Garnett, Allan, & Pierce have a ton of miles on each of them. This core would have been absolutely stellar 5-7 years ago... I think this trio runs out of gas quickly and fades down the stretch....

This trio reminds me of the Barkley, Pippen, & Olajuwon (minus about 8 championships ) squad assembled by the rockets right after the Bulls' title run....way too much wear & tear and mileage....
