Jan 5th @ Kentucky CBS
Other that I have seen talked about are Morehead State and Illinois State.
Big East Home Games

Big East Road Games

There are a few stinkers in there, but it is our best schedule in a few years. Of the 12 likely non-conference opponents, 4 were RPI top 20, and 7 of 12 were top 100. Jackson St & Illinois St were mid-level, & not bad enough to hurt anything. Hartford was sub-200 bad, but we have no choice since that's in a tournament. Iona was probably the worst team in the country so that's ugly, but Pitino plays all former assistants who get head jobs. Kevin Willard starts anew trying to improve the Gaels. I guess Morehead St is just an in-state buy game.
Apparantely the Vegas tournament has changed things up in their 2nd year, and so we will need to beat BYU & have UNC beat Old Dominion for us to face the Tar Heels.
New Mexico St should be an interesting game. We scheduled them since former assistant Reggie Theus was there. He left for the Kings, but Marvin Menzies left the Cards to replace Theus. NMSU has some athletes, and their coach will have seen everything the Cards do firsthand, as he was on UofL's staff until a month ago.

According to Marshall Assistant Coach Finney, We are finalizing a deal to play at Louisville.

So we're looking at a Marshall-Louisville matchup? Also listed on a Louisville board is that the UAB Blazers will travel to play the Cards

Marshall might be pretty good in basketball this year. They've got a few players who are pretty good, and the coach has won everywhere he's been. I doubt that Marshall will be able to beat the Cards, but Louisville will definitely know they've been in a game.

Andy Katz reported that in his blog apparentely, but as someone also mentioned on the UofL board, its quite possible he has his wires crossed and got confused with the UAB v. Kentucky game in Freedom Hall in December. The Blazers could possibly play both teams in Freedom Hall, but I bet they are just playing UK, as earlier reported.
