Next year's OC?
I'm really curious about the offensive coordinator options for next year. Some rumors are floating around about Fresno State's OC Frank Cignetti, who has some ties to JB back when they both were both on the same staff in the NFL. Cignetti has coordinated some impressive offenses at Fresno, even though it's a mid-major school. They've performed well against the big boys -- highlighted by a 42-point showing against USC this year.

Two certain candidates for the job will be Hal Hunter and Dave Brock on the current staff. Hunter did well coordinating an Indiana offense led by Randle-El, which was one of the top offenses in the Big 10. Brock did a lot with a little when he led Temple's offense for a couple of seasons. Neither hire would draw huge headlines, but they both seem to be solid choices.

Personally, I'd like to see us go after Cignetti hard and then look to Hunter if that doesn't work.

I voted for Hunter. But I like the idea of advancing people from within the system.

Looks like you can add Steve Logan to the list, considering he met with Bunting yesterday to "advise" on the OC hiring. Some folks think he was really there interviewing for the job.
