Good finding Omni. It will be interesting to see who they match up vs the Irish and FSU.
You know UCF or USF would be more than willing to play either of those teams even if it is in the Citrus Bowl.
But I dont think neither school will be chosen.

You know that MT and the Big East better be pushing Notre Dame to play against USF or another BE team in at least one of those matchups.

The value of ND to the BE is there,The BE schools would certainly rather have some bowl help from ND and 3 football games per year then push ND into the B10 and breakup the BE bb conference.Hopefully,a new BE lacrosse league with Rutgers,Syracuse and ND,Villanova,Georgetown,Providence and St Johns will strengthen the BE further( there is also the possibility of Louisville joining this group).Along with a new 6th non bcs bowl in Tampa progress certainly is being made from 2003..

Yes BE Lacross between 2 FB schools and 4 BB schools will save the BE. FB scheduling is no longer a problem and eveything is bliss because of Lacross02-13-banana04-chairshot03-banghead03-puke01-wingedeagle

Remove your hand if you get cut solution to the BE problem of scheduling 1 game per year in football.

Notre Dame will NOT be puhed into the Big10 by the BE gootball schools standing up to them. Their big football TV contract and special BCS position will see to that.
If they join the Big10 they will lose control over both, no way they would do that. IF the Big10 was a good deal for them they would have split a long time ago.
The current BE is the bet deal for ND because they get to have their cake and eat it too. They have all ther sports in a major conference while still keeping independent in football and get bowls tie ins from that conference.

If they join the Big 10 their prospects of a BCS bowl diminish exponentially. That alone makes the BEast more attractive.

However, since there are 3 BCS calibur teams (possibly 4) in the BEast, maybe not.
