I listened to this earlier, but thanks for posting it, Raider. Elson thinks we will be competitive in 2009. Hope he's right.
Raider, did you listen to it? What were your thoughts?

I listened to it...
I was impressed. Your coach is well spoken and sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. Of course, a lot of what he was saying I heard 8 or 9 years ago in an MT context. I know your president and AD have made cracks at MT's journey into 1A and that wku will do it better. Perhaps wku will, but it is not an easy process and as someone said when MT was entering into that process, success may not come with the current coach, AD, or President, but it is a move worth making.

I agree, but unfortunately he is not paid to talk.

I heard that too, but I really didn't take it that way. I think that they know this is a pretty big descision and a pretty big risk, and they simply meant that they have looked at things that make the transition more difficult, and they have looked at things that work and are trying to give our program the best possible shot at succeeding.

I'll tough it out.

Hilltopper2K,
Nope. I've given up. I've sent I think 3 emails to the admin explaining that I'm a WKU fan, not an imposter or flamer, etc. He doesnt even email me back.
Honestly, I feel kind of sorry for the guy. He's got his closed little site with nobody allowed in except I guess just his personal friends. A Hilltopper site that doesnt allow Hilltopper fans in. Go figure.
The thing is, he could get lots more "friends" if he'd just let other Topper fans in.
Its no big deal. I've found this site, and in adition WKU now has a site on the Scout network. Probably one of the perks that happen when you go 1-A in football. I can bounce back and forth between here and there.
