Contract signed
Huggins contract with K-State has now been reportedly signed. They were waiting on the Nike stuff to finalize (6yrs-entire department). Details about Huggins's contract with K-State will most likely be released this summer. Huggins and his wife have also closed on a house in Manhattan.

Bob Huggins has generated an estimated $2 million for the athletic department since taking over the basketball program in March.

AD Tim Weiser also has a 10 year extension on the table

Kevin Kietzman on 810 WHB KC Radio. He is a K-State alum and close with President Wefald and AD Tim Weiser.

He was one of GPC's main sources during the Men's Basketball Coaching Search. One of the few who could actually get anything out of Tim during the two week period.

Sweet, I like to know where things come from and since I live in Ohio, KSU news comes a little slower around here. Thanks for the heads up.

You can listen to him live 2-7 central time (when there's not a Royals game). His show is mostly about KC stuff but will throw in the occasional K-State topic. The station caters to K-State, KU, and Missouri, with KSU usually getting a little shorter end of the stick but its fair.

Oh, and I'm going to be talking to the General Manager of the K-State Sports Radio Network about pursuing a satellite radio deal in the next couple days. Any of you guys interested in listening to K-State on Sirius or XM?

I would love it. 700WLW here in Cincinnati just went with an XM deal. I think channel 173. I am listining to the online stream now. All Royals stuff and how they like to loose and stuff. I like him for an out of town guy.

810 is not the flagship but it is an affiliate of the K-State Sports Network. The flagship has changed a few times since the radio deal fiasco (long story and I might tell it sometime this summer when things are boring. Ask me later) I believe the current flagship is either 1350 KMAN-Manhattan or 1070 KFDI-Wichita. I'm leaning towards KFDI as being the flagship.

I believe 1350 KMAN streams the K-State games live. You can also listen on Yahoo Sports for free under the current radio contract.

I noticed the free games on yahoo. I wish I could get access to the powercat passport. I assume they pick up a few basketball games on there a year.

I have powercat passport and its not really worth it. You get video highlights afterwards (maybe one or two live games) but they're starting to post more videos on http://inside.kstatesports.com. I split the sub with my roommate for this last year but I doubt I'll get it again. If you were going to pay for anything, I would get a monthly sub to GoPowercat.com when the school year starts in August.

Powercat is advertised as being streamed live but they can't stream football games (television networks) and can't do too many basketball games due to the contract with Fox Sports. I've only seen two men's games streamed live and they were away games. Women's basketball gets streamed all the time live.

GPC doesn't stream the games live but if you already have Cincy's rivals sub then you probably wouldn't need KSU's. There is A LOT of reliable premuim info that goes through the K-State board but most of it is eventually reported anyway. FITZ's Wabash Cannonball's are usually amazing.

Hey if I can pick up an extra game or two a year and watch all the national TV games, I guess its not a bad deal. Plus going to the Xavier game.
