However, I am fearful this will only be a shadow performance of their former selves.

It's not so much that they are in a club. I remember in 1995-96 Warrant playing in a club that the Downtown Rafters or whatever that warehouse across from the old Paty's and razed Big Burley Tobacco Warehouse on State of Franklin is called now.

And it was a great show- people were stacked on each other in a crowded house- and just going crazy (though if you are 40 years old- I don't know- should you be baring your breasts in a leather skimpy outfit? I mean, if you have the body of Pamela Anderson at 40- that's one thing. When you're significantly chunky- you might want to go for another look and leave the baring of breasts to someone that is- well- you know- desirable).

Heck, I saw AC/DC in the Roseland Ballroom in NYC once. THAT was a memorable show!

But it's more that Britny will only feature one of their original members on this tour- and that's the bassist, Billy Childs.

And no, Billy Childs is not a bassist like Lemmy Kilmister is in which the other members can come and go (though who doesn't miss Philthy Animal Taylor on the drums?) and yet as long as you have Lemmy- you have Motorhead.

But I'm intrigued. Tommy Paris as the frontman. Those are some big shoes to fill.

Dizzy Dean Davidson was, of course, the "star" of Britny during their heyday. He wrote the songs and had that voice that resembled Tom Keifer- who himself was resembling Brian Johnson.

Can Paris fill the role well? Lots of people have- Johnson is perhaps the primary example. Sammy Hagar may not have been the showman but certainly was the superior musician to David Lee Roth.

And does anyone even know who Paul Di'Anno is? Didn't Bruce Dickenson make him completely irrelevant?

Britny has not done much since the demise of Dizzy Dean, but is that because of a lack of talent or because of a misguided record industry who pushed grunge and depression over glam and excitement upon the arrival of Nirvana in 1991?

I look forward to being able to make the determination.

And it is time on this Saturday to remember the Headbangers Ball, which of course came on at midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Not today's Headbangers Ball on MTV2- which might as well be for people in prison.

I'm talking about good old fashioned Headbangers Ball- with Adam Curry or Rikki Rachman hosting. I'm talking about something you could enjoy.

It was on this show that Britny came to the forefront of the music scene and showed us just how good and agressive rock and roll could be.

But what I'm curious about was- in the Britny videos- who was that dorky- Doug Hoerth-looking guy who would be shown at the beginning of every video?

Don't worry who Doug Hoerth is. He's a guy who looks like the guy at the beginning of every Britny Fox video off their first album.

You remember him. In "Long Way to Love" he was a bum, and in "Girlschool" he was a janitor.

Who was that guy?

And we are still looking for the name of the actress who played the school teacher in Girlschool, as well as the answers to the other four questions above.
