I heard it on SportsTalk radio today that Lefty is nomiated for the Hall of Fame! I undecided. I don't think you HAVE to have a championship to get in, BUT.....I think you need to have a more impressive body or work. Lefty won a bunch of games, but only 1 ACC Tourny and 1 or 2 ACC regular season titles. No final fours! I wonder how much different he is than John Cheney at Temple. Lefty's teams would have won the A-10 about 20 times also..... So, its hard to say!

I'd have to admit that Lefty is one of my most favorite coaches of all time. He is greatly under rated and was railroaded over the Bias thing. He is still a great coach and does so well with so little where ever he goes. I think it would be a shame if he didn't get into the Hall of Fame.

Coach Doh....I agree. He was a very good coach. But...there has to be some sort of line drawn. I think most Hall of Fames allow too many people in. But....Lefty did invent Midnight Madness so I guess that counts for something!
