I'm thinkin' today he is.

If nothing else, he is the greatest salesman of all time.

So today while I am going to the bathroom I come across a copy of "Her" magazine, which is some sort of fluff put out by the Johnson City Press that debuted this week.

And I'm intrigued by this beautiful blonde on the cover who looks like Beth Ostrosky.



And I read on, and I start to learn she's 23, and she's won both Miss Kingsport and Miss Johnson City (are there no residency requirements here?) and she just got married to . . .

A car dealer who is about 700 years old!



A few observations here.

First of all, I think it's safe to say "Her" is not following the editorial lead of Ms. magazine. Just a hunch.

Second of all, Stevie boy, way to go! I thought Joe Hardy, the 84-year-old magnate of, coincidently enough, 84 Lumber, was pretty cool when he got Christina Aguilera to sing for him at his birthday

But this just takes the cake!

Plus- in the case of Hardy, he was marrying a woman who was already a single mom and was a waitress or something at one of his resorts.

Evidently, Grindstaff was sponsoring the Miss Johnson City or Kingsport or whatever pageant for 16 years.

That's persistence. That's big time.

Remember, Steve Grindstaff made "Huntin' to Bunton" obsolete- and evidently with 16 years of high class CHICKEN HUNTING with no expense too large- no detail too small!

I don't know how he didn't get sued.

And I know it's a mere coincidence that in a short period of time the lovely Miss Ashley will be inheriting a fortune, but I look at this as an opportunity.

Besides, who am I to question their happiness with such cynicism?

See, remember that Chrysler dealer in Kingsport who said "Getting His Name on the Car was Like Getting Him in the Backseat?"

It's only a matter of time before we get to see if the lovely Ashley will match other dealers offers!!!!!

It may have to do with the fact that she's not that attractive. I mean granted 30,000 dollars worth of cosmetic surgery, a tuck here, porcelain veneers and Invisaligns there, botox, new boobs, etc... I mean hell Barbie Breedlove or Jackie Mullins could be made attractive with the amount of money Steve Grindstaff could spend getting it done, but damn some things are just bad investments.
BTW there's a topless carwash that's on the way to Elon as well. I'm not sure how long the one at Blackjack's has been open.
