Personally, I'd rather be The Dome Ranger with a couple of pistols. Those muskets take too long to reload. 03-wink

That may be true, but you can shoot at the buffalo while its still a half mile away with a buffalo gun and have a pretty good shot at hitting it if you've done any practice at all with the gun. They aren't difficult to shoot, although there is one hell of a kick to get used to, but there's plenty of time to reload. With a pistol you have to wait until they're pretty close to do any damage, and God help you if you miss on the first shot. Buffalos build up a big head of steam in real short order.
