For the third time ... it depends on the poll results. I'm not being stubborn, I'm going with the whole. And if they're little bitty ole buttons ... why raise such hell about them?

This concept that you should NEVER EVER EVER be subjected to ANYTHING you don't like or agree with ... no matter how mundane, inane, or trivial.... is total BS. This attitude is a big part of America's current problems. You can't make everybody happy. It's impossible. The difference is, EVERYBODY ELSE on this site isn't complaining about a color of their rival ... or even a picture of their rival in the group icons. It's only a select few highly vocal and irrational Memphis fans. NOBODY ELSE.

RE: New group icons ...what do you think?
gts....I've rarely, if ever, spoke up around here. I tried having a conversation with you once or twice in the past, and quickly realized that it just wasn't gonna happen.

I don't claim to understand how this site runs. I couldn't begin to do half of what you do around here. When it comes to keeping this entire place going, you are the man.

But when it comes to dealing with people, you utterly suck.

You are coming across as a major a-hole with this. Yes, that color is a slap in our face.

And only a few Memphis folks are complaining about it, because we Memphis mods are the ones who have to wear the $hit.

Let me just ask you this.

Why can't the admin buttons be a lovely shade of Georgia Bulldog red?

Your ignorance knows no bounds. Tumble down the rabbit hole that the original admins, devs, and old mods have over the years, Alice. You don't have the first clue. Keep flocking though. You seem quite good at it.

It sounds the complete opposite way, actually. You can't punctuate your sentences correctly and know nothing about NCAAbbs and its history. Yet, here you are, arguing like you do. If you knew how NCAAbbs was started, you would understand that GTS doesn't dictate rights to anyone. The entire reason this board was started was because another forum did just that.

GTS said that it depends on this poll. Is that not fair enough? Go ahead...run off and PM your Tiger friends to come vote.

YOU are the ass. I don't see you stepping up to create an icon to replace it, or joining the design team to have a decision in these things. Instead, you whine. Because of a color. I repeat: YOU are the ass.

Why yes.... it's Georgia Bulldog red. Bow wow ruff ruff.

The difference is I don't feel the world owes me censorship of anything and everything I don't won't to see no matter have inane, mundane, and trivial.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to select a color that won't be some team's rival... except maybe hot pink. But again ... it's only a few Memphis fans griping about this.

We fixed the group updater (and thus the PM problems, etc).
You're still a mod, just not being displayed as one. MyBB allows for "hidden" mods so-to-speak. Post a request in the Conversion Support board so I won't forget.

RE: New group icons ...what do you think?
My $.03...

1) I like the updated group badges. Barely, but I like them.

2) Since we're operating under a group-single-board-install-fits-all structure, we'll all have to sacrifice something -- especially since the work involved just to keep this ONE install is stretching our small Skunkworks crew. Hell, it takes me 10 years just to draw up 2 skins these days since I'm involved in other affairs.

3) If the Memphis folks are gonna protest to this degree over some orange in a mod button, either:

a. Have one of the Skunkworks folks create a template mod and a separate images directory for Memphis-related images,

OR...

b. Have the MT.org folks create their own place on their own server, allowing them to manage and customize to their hearts' content. We'll still have a Memphis board on here nevertheless.

Since SCC and the rest of the SW team have been at odds over everything in the last year, then maybe #3b is the best option, because even if we choose #3a, something else will come up.

Carry on.

Also, I would strongly suggest creating a UserCP mod to make the Group Badges "OPTIONAL".

Hey douchebag,

You called GTS out for not using "Georgia Bulldog Red" in the user icons. He then points out that that color is used as his name, which we all see, and then you don't have the courtesy to apologize? He just proved to you that it isn't about upsetting the Memphis fans. Quit being a baby. If I was GTS, I wouldn't change those icons now if you paid me $1 Million. I'd tell you to burn in hell.

It seems that you Mempiss fans are the only ones that b!tch about anything around here. How about some gratitude? There ain't a big orange "T" on anything here, so what is the big deal?

What's so funny is that many of you guys bitching have orange in your signature lines.

My GOD people, are you bored or something? I have never seen such a useless argument. Here's an idea, let's make everything white or black.

Eh..UGA-GT was a bad example. They're both pretty much the same thing, on equal footing. A better example would have been forcing just the perfect shade of crimson on you Blazers. That would have made it about square..

And "apologize"...?

Yeah, okay.. 03-lmfao

That's way too simple and makes too much sense. That would be like "giving in" to the Memphis folks. Lord knows that would be a sin.

Real life Tigers are nowhere close to the color Orange that ya'll are talking about.

Real Tigers, including our Tiger mascot are nowhere close to the color Orange that is in our logo, which is why most Memphians have major issues with the current logo.

Who the h*ll cares what color Tony the f@cking Tiger is?!

The fact that you're a vegan explains alot about this argument to me. You go enjoy your tofu and ugly a$$ orange buttons and we'll enjoy our ribs and chicken.

Objecting to the color orange at every turn in life is ridiculous.

This is among the most absurd arguments I have ever seen. I just don't see what the big deal is about the badges being orange. Who gives a $#@%. Yeah, he could change the color of the tags, but why? It's a senseless request. If anything, I should be offended for the badges being orange and blue. I HATE the damn gators. But y'know what? They're just colors.

Let me get this straight...it is ok for the majority to b*tch about the size of the icons like the other day, but not the color?

A lot of you guys who are attacking the folks who hate the color (and I personally couldn't care less about the colors myself, by the way) were b*tching about the size of them the other day. Just thought I'd point that out.
