What would you guys think if Coach Cal offerend Dane Bradshaw a spot at a grad assistant or something similar to what Mike Miller's brother used to do or what Shy Chap is doing now?

What would you think about not spending space on a Tigers message board talking about jackasses from UT?

Bradshaw can go F himself until he offers a widely-publicized apology for his disparaging comments about our program and our city. I don't care if he's from here and don't care is he "a good kid". The dude got in front of a camera and slammed us. He deserves no mercy from Tiger Fans.

Actually, I've heard him clarify his comments numerous times. Not sure what the beef is. I thought he was talking mostly about his high school days and how tough it was playing against the "gang banger" type kids that had no problem throwing an elbow to the face anymore than pulling a knife on you. How does that reflect negatively on the Memphis Tiger basketball program? Was he insinuating that is the kind of play Calipari coaches his players to play?

The insinuation was that Memphis is a thug town full of thugs and that translates to our basketball program.

I do not understand why people want to defend this kid. He went to UT and snubbed his nose at us the whole time. Call me hard-hearted, but for me there is no coming back from that point.

There should be no place for a vol on our staff if for no other reason than there are plenty of Tiger alums that could fill spots like that. Why can't the sweathog at ut give him a job if that's what he is looking for? Or has he served his purpose at ut so there's no longer any need for him to be associated with that program?

Let him come aboard. That way when Joey needs someone to punch on, he can do it to Dane. He would be Joey's personal punching bag. That's the only reason I would say yes to such an insane suggestion. But to really answer that question.....HELL NO!!

I guess you got a point, judging by the way he likes to put his hands in Joey's pants, he could be Joey's personal jock adjuster. Joey could keep his hands free and clean during the games. Would that be a violation of any NCAA rules? Might be an extra benefit not given to other students. Might need to check that before the hire is made.

Umm...it A) had NOTHING to do with our basketball program.

B) There have been 76...I repeat 76 murders in Memphis this year...Even folks that love this city as much as I do are hard pressed to argue the fact that the city is full of thugs.

I'm still waiting (as I have been since he went to UT) for the 'proof' that he has 'snubbed his nose at Memphis'. He was not heavily recruited by Memphis.

By your standards, we should fire Tommy West immediately. After all, he played football at UT.

He's a good kid, and every coach in America wishes that they had one or two players like him.

1) TW has taken us to three bowls, not two.
2) TW was not from Memphis
3) TW did not get on camera and disparage everything about Memphis

Bradshaw is not going to get any slack from Memphis fans, sorry. We have some kids from Knoxville on our teams, and if one of them had been on the news talking about the rednexk, toothless world he grew up in, you guys would feel exactly the same way. Bradshaw did it to himself.

the whole reason for sports is to draw a line in the sand and root for YOUR team and against the other guy. as for Brad$hit, he should never be allowed into the city limits for the original "venom" he spewed.

this isn't the @#%$% YMCA, Kumbyah, feel good, hippie hoops utopia you seem to embrace. he left this city, he ripped our home and program, and for that he can stay gone. the very idea of letting that prick near our campus....

First, I think that it is unfair to criticize Dane for going to UT. I don't like orange myself, but it's not like he was Tony Harris or Scooter and simply chose to be there and not here. In the class of 2003, Dane was not a priority for us. Our class that year was Sean Banks, Kendrick Perkins, Keena Young, and Ivan Lopez. Hindsight is 20-20, but at that time, which one was Dane going to beat out for a schollie? I just don't put Dane in the same category as Harris or Scooter.

Second, I personally dislike what I thought was Dane's dirty play against us the last two years. But I also give him credit for playing a very good game down here year before last. I also don't like the fact that Dane like his Sith Lord enjoyed needling the University and saying and doing everything possible to rile up Tiger fans. I can't believe that his comments were not meant to fire things up.

I dislike his talk and his being Pearl's pet, but not necessarily for not being a Tiger (not his fault).
