RE: 2007 Conference USA Football Forecast
Who's this according to? I am pretty confident that S. Miss, ECU, UCF and maybe even Memphis (good scheduling) finish ahead of Marshall. For the east I would guess S Miss as an A tier, ECU and UCF as B tier, Marshall and Memphis as a C tier and then UAB.
I could see Marshall losing a lot in 2007: @Miami L, WVU L, New Hampshire W, @Cinci L, @Memphis Pickem', @Tulsa L, S Miss L, Rice W?, @UCF L?, ECU Pickem', @Houston L, UAB W. Since we are all guessing, it appears Marshall only has two games they SHOULD win.

Rice plays @UH this year. Hehe. Wonder what else you got wrong?

Oh ya, your 2007 C-USA Champion will be repeating from last year, that's what.

Funny how Tulane beat Mississippi State last year (the game was not as close as the score) AT MSU, yet you think that they can't beat MSU at home? And you think that Army beats Tulane this year, some kind of way?

No, I think that your post is full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

MSU may not have a good football team. They also do not have a short memory.

RE: 2007 Conference USA Football Forecast
Evidently not much thought went into this OOC-wise.

From what I could gather CUSA OOC will go:

2-23 against BCS teams (sans ECU, the conference is 0-21)
7-7 against nonBCS teams
1-4 against MWC
winless against the WAC
18-30 overall

Last season we were deplorable in OOC and finished 23-25.

Ironically, the only team that you have beating a BCS team finishes 3rd in the East and tied for 7th overall.

You have Tulane losing to Army and you have Memphis losing to Ark St and MTSU.

You have Houston finishing 2nd in the West but don't have them beating a Divsion 1A team in OOC.

And this is looking at the conference as optimistic as you allow.

Yep. Trash in, trash out. My will you be surprised when the MWC doesn't win 80% of its game against CUSA foes...

You have Houston finishing 2nd in the West but don't have them beating a Divsion 1A team in OOC.

I'll break it down.

2-23 vs. BCS Conference.

ECU can play with and beat UNC and NC State at home. They are competitive and UNC and NC State are awful. At least UNC is. Virginia Tech and WVU are legit Top 10-15 teams. So forget ECU winning those games.

Marshall going up vs. Miami, WVU and Cincy. Where does a win come out of that? Please.

Memphis was atrocious last season. I wouldn't put it past them if they lost to Arkansas State and Middle.

Southern Miss is a good team. Though not good enough to win in Knoxville. Ditto for Boise on the blue turf.

UAB was pretty bad themselves and going on the road to 3 BCS teams will not help their record.

UCF has to go to Raleigh. Then, they play Texas and will get bludgeoned. Where am I wrong?

Houston has to go to Oregon and 'Bama. Where is a win there? The CSU game is debatable.

Rice has to play Baylor, Texas Tech and Texas. They will be lucky to be within 20 of the latter 2 as good as they were last season.

SMU has to play Texas Tech and TCU. Those 2 are just better teams.

Tulane has to go to West Point. They also play LSU. You have to inebriated to think the Wave have even a remote chance let alone come within 30 vs. IMO the #1 team in the country (Bayou Bengals.)

Tulsa has OU and BYU, who I think are better than the Hurricane.

UTEP will beat UNM and NMSU. Will not beat Tech at Tortilla Flats.

I will not kiss C-USA's a++ like you do. I just post what I believe will happen. No reason to be so sensitive about it.

I'm a Utah fan and I have them 1-3 OOC. Oregon State, UCLA and Louisville are better teams than the Utes. No shame in saying that.

Yes, we go to West Point, but we're better than Army.

We are also playing Mississippi State at home--the same MSU team that we demolished for 3.5 quarters on the road.

Tulane will win 3 of 4 non-conference games, and with better coaching this year, the Wave will be better in conference play this year.

No, you really have no freaking clue of what you're talking about.

Go back to your MWC board, troll.
