RE: The Big East Federation
DFW, you're right there. In his 2nd term in office, Reagan was little more than a figurehead parroting speeches written for him by his advisors. Nancy had the power.

But I was using that as a corrolary for TS2. I think he's got brain damage. Everyone has slammed him over and over for being wrong. But he's still too stubborn - and stupid - to realize it. Even though we can't ignore him, I'm going to. I won't comment further on anything by the moron. I won't recognize he even exists. And if this non-person makes comments on anything I say, I will not rebut. I refuse to demean intelligence further with comments on such utter stupidity.

Bitless in your mindless world 10 times more alumni means nothing. However,to the real people who run sports tv it certainly means something that is significant to their revenue.Even though Rutgers has not been unsuccessful in bb(no NCAA since 1991) ,however its large NJ marketplace for football came alive in the past 2 years(even though they had not been to a bowl game since 1978) .BB will come alive in NJ if their bb team improves. Most of your lack of logic comes from the misconceptions that if BE split occurs the great tv markets of nyc, chicago,dc and philly will be mythically handled with the entrance of temple, umass, ecu ,memphis state etc.It seems that the BE football's majority completely disagrees with this myth and prefers to keep the current league to building a weaker new league based on the addition of these weak want to be programs.

Bitlesswonder go back and think about some more names and awards to give me because I disagree with your mindless sameness.Hoya do you really think Georgetown adds nothing to the BE tv market in dc?They had some bad years before coming back to life? Why is this not true for St Johns?Bitless did you have medical training at WVU?Or were you just locked up observation there?

tigersharktwo Wrote:The alumni base of St Johns in nyc is 10 TIMES that of syracuse(even to the quantitatively challanged that is a significantly different in magnitude).Anyway you want to put your inference that Syracuse has greater fan base in nyc than St Johns is a bad joke..Not every syracuse alumni is a fan of syracuse ,nor is every alumni of St Johns a fan of St Johns.Because msg is full of people for top rated bb does make team whether uconn ,syracuse ,florida ,duke etc a marketplace magnet in nyc. I am glad think you are a great searcher on the internet.(Of course I put delimiters in my searches so your statements about my searches rank with you fan based estimates as incorrect).I doubt that the BE wants to get rid of St Johns and try capture its market place without a nyc school.

FYI...to add some facts:

Syracuse living alumni: 230,000
St Johns alumni: 130,000

FYI...Syracuse has a lot more casual (i.e. fans that did not go to said school) than St Johns.

Knight only 11% of syracuse students/alumni(20k) come from nyc.80% of St Johns students/alumni(100k) from nyc.
