Recipe for dissappointment
From the Beltboard...

We were a very good offensive team... BUT

A. 7th in the conference in scoring defense

B. 12th in conference in field goal % defense

C. 7th in conference in blocked shots

D. in steals we were actually 3rd (our best defensive stat)

E. 9th in conference in turnovers.

I still think that the bulk of these problems were caused by being undersized and too clumsy and slow in the post (although we left plenty of shooters open outside too.)

Its summer and I'm ready for football. Last years hoops catastrophe is water under the ridge.

RE: Recipe for dissappointment
We are redshirting all of our seniors and are simply not ready for prime time this year. Next year we have all of four home games.

I hope for the best, but...

PS... basketball and football threads can coexsist peacefully on this board can't they? I'm all for talking about either one.

RE: Recipe for dissappointment
Only 2 seniors are redshirting now. One offensive lineman and a punter. We have 5 home games:

Sat, Sep 1 at Florida Gainesville, Fla. tba
Sat, Sep 8 West Virginia Tech Bowling Green, Ky. tba
Sat, Sep 15 Eastern Kentucky Bowling Green, Ky. tba

Thu, Sep 20 at Middle Tennessee Murfreesboro, Tenn. tba
Sat, Sep 29 at Bowling Green Bowling Green, Ohio tba
Sat, Oct 13 at Ball State Muncie, Ind. tba
Sat, Oct 20 at Indiana State Terre Haute, Ind. tba
Sat, Oct 27 North Carolina Central Bowling Green, Ky. tba
Sat, Nov 3 at Chattanooga Chattanooga, Tenn. tba
Sat, Nov 10 Troy Bowling Green, Ky. tba
Sat, Nov 17 Morehead State Bowling Green, Ky. tba

Sat, Nov 24 at North Texas Denton, Texas tba

Of course football/basketball threads can coexist peacefully. I just grow tired of rehashing basketball year round. No offense intended.
