Bummer. Seems I'd read he wasn't drafted apparently because he doesn't have a real position. I hate it when one's versatility proves to be an Achilles' heel.

Byron will catch on somewhere -- I'd personally be thrilled to see him in a Dallas Mavericks uniform but that's just me. I know I'd want his versatility on my team, if I owned one.

Well when they say he doesn't have a position, they mean that he is too small to play the SF in the league, but he doesn't have the outside shot to play shooting guard.

He will catch on somewhere, if not this season then in a year or two after he's had some time to work on his shot in Europe or something. He is already strong enough to play the 2 in the NBA, and his intensity and work ethic surpass most pro players', so I know a GM somewhere will find a place on their team for him. I think the Mavericks might actually be a good fit for him, they could use a player who can come in and give them a good 5 minutes or so off the bench. Byron would fit in with the other intense players on the team and he would work his butt off on the defensive end, something Nellie loves.

I dont think his shot is the problem with Byron as much as it is his handle, there are plenty of NBA two guards who cant shoot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> . The NBA guys just dont think he can handle the rock well enough to play guard in the NBA.

That's true. And that's another thing that a season or two in Europe will help him develop. I know he'll be in the NBA eventually. And besides, the European contracts aren't too shabby!
