You know what bugs me about those shows -- oh, sure, they're television classics (at least Happy Days is). What bugs me is that in period dressing at some point midway through the series run, they forgot it was supposed to be the early 1960s. I had a lot of trouble with this. Look at a high school yearbook from that period -- I have some, in fact, in my collection (dead relatives, estate sales, you name it). Real kids from that period looked NOTHING like those kids on TV. Where were the madras shirts and buzzcuts (or, maybe for the purposes of this group, the Steven Blake Look) and pointy shoes? Where were the Jackie Kennedy bouffants? I hate to come off snooty here, but I quit watching the shows because of this.
