Juan and Steve both have threads so I thought I would start a Baxter thread. Lonny has been overshadowed by Juan his whole career but he sure was a great player. He could really just take over the game at times (He did the whole way through the final four in 2001) and unlike when Juan took over a game when Lonny did it there was nothing subtle about it. When Juan took over a game he would sometimes score 30 points without anyone even noticing but when Lonny did it you noticed. Some days there was nothing the opposing team could do to stop him they would either foul him or he would score on nearly every possession. Even though he isnt very high on most mock drafts I think Lonny has potential to be a decent pro, he can hold down a position in the post as well as anyone.

Lonny is a beast he will turn out to be the steal of the draft...

He is a Barkley type player....

Lonny Baxter was our main inside prescense for 4 years. These were probably the best 4 years of Terrapin Basketball. He has been one of the most underrated players in the nation the last few years! I'd take him over Boozer any time. Hell yeah he deserves his own thread!

Baxter is a very solid player.He was very dominant in the paint last year for the terps. And he was along with a excellent performance from Juan Dixon(who is the REAL POY)the reason yaw beat Kentucky.
