I was listening to them talk about Larussa on my way to the healthclub, but i dont recall hearing a nick from sycamore call in, so i must have just missed you lol..ive called in to their show a few times as well, but usually during football season...i seriously have the score on 24/7 during football season..tell me youre a lawrence holmes fan as well?

I don't like a single Chicago sports team but the Score is practically always on in my car. It's good sports talk even if it is Bears/Sox/Cubs.

I missed the La Russa talk yesterday but since G called in I'm assuming it's about the comments he made regarding Bennett getting hit in the head a few days before.

Basically, he said anyone who hits another in the head should be suspended 1 start regardless of whether or not it was intentional. That's dumb and I doubt he meant it.. he was just in the heat of the moment. Arroyo certainly didn't mean to do it, Bennett is fine and accepted the apology, so it's really a non-issue.

Now before MD comes on here saying "La Russa tells his guys to hit other players in the head" that is 100% untrue. Maybe waaay back in the day with the A's when that was actually part of the game but obviously by these comments he is totally against it. Anyone who has been on the field during play will tell you that Tony always gets pissed at his own pitchers when they throw a brushback. He always yells "GET IT DOWN" or "STAY OUTTA THERE" when it happens. La Russa doesn't even advocate the brushback pitch, which is still part of the game.

That guy does not know anything outside of football.

Only time I listen to 670 is when 1000 has national shows. Besides that, I don't really care for any of the shows on 670.
