While I'd like Chris to stay, I won't shed any tears. Someone said during the season that they'd gladly trade a National Championship for Wilcox's Junior year.

He played really well in the final 4. This solidified his draft potential. So, he was a big factor in getting us a national championship. This is a trade I'd gladly make for any player.

I wish him the best at the next level if thats what he decides to do.(BTW: I'm not implying that the people who seemed bummed don't wish him well)

I'm actually sad that he's leaving Maryland. I just love to watch him play. Almost all of Maryland's games were televised, and I know he wont get as much PT in the NBA (yet). Hopefully he can hook me up with some tickets to see him play in Charlotte like he did in Raleigh.

I'm happy for him though. He's going to be living the good life. He will represent Maryland (and Whiteville) well.

I couldn't be happier and totally agree with apoc on this one.

NC means only two years of Wilcox if we knew that was the deal during his recruiting we all would be like yep come here help us wina NC and leave in two years that's cool with us....

THE X Factor...

He was here two years and we went to the final four both years...

Hey anyone out there claiming they wouldn't go is lieing plain and simple...

Hell if someone threw 1 million my way I would do a lot of crazy stuff for them in order to get it...

Well, I dunno what to say.

I will support Chris in whatever he chooses to do -- even though I'm convinced he's not ready, and the fact that he'll probably be riding the pine for a while to come in the NBA ... so much for playing time.

Okay, I'll say what I feel: THIS SUCKS!

Also, I guess this means so much for the whole "good things come to those who wait" thing (NC for Dixon, Baxter, Mouton, and Badu).

Vitale harps all the time about kids staying in school. This is one of the few instances where I'm in total agreement with this otherwise hyperbolic buffoon.

Wilcox is a Terp no more. I'm upset, but not wholly surprised.

I hope Steven Blake isn't the next one out the door (he's gonna do a Jason Gardener or something). His leadership will be soooooooo needed this coming season, and dammit, even though I've been a little hard on him, I love the kid -- but not in that Blakesgirl kinda way.

This really is sad and I don't see why we ~shouldn't~ be sad. But I also think we should be happy for Chris and happy that we had such a talented player on our team. Good luck Chris! We'll miss ya

Isn't there a chance that they still wont move?? I hope not. Cause that's the closest place I could go to see Chris play.

Ha...I'd guess Atlanta?? From Raleigh at least. Might be the same from Whiteville.

I think it's only like 6 hours. I'm pretty sure DC is much farther.

That being said...a couple hours is much different from 6+ hours.
