UofL wins the Columbia Regional by eliminating Miami and now the host #11 Missouri. Final today was 16-6 and the Cards will move on to play Oklahoma State.

Through 5 innings, another 3 run HR for Louisville this time by Jorge Castillo. 16-5 Cardinals with 18 hits. Top 6th we go Mizzou coming to bat.

Through six innings UofL holds a 16-6 lead. Game starting to get ugly as the Mizzou pitcher intentionally hit it looks like the UofL batter and the Mizzou coach was ejected. Starting to get chippy out there.

Through 7 innings, Cards still lead 16-6. Mizzou coming up to bat.

Through 8 inning, Louisville leads 16-6. Cardinals have 21 hits in the ballgame. Top 9th we go and Missouri is down to their last 3 outs. Come on Cards!

Unbelievable weekend for the Baseball Cards! Over 5 games they scored 46 runs while hitting .380 as a team. They swept Miami after the Canes had won their past 13 regionals, and took 2 of 3 from the host Tigers!

It looks like UofL will play at fellow #3 seed Oklahoma St next weekend for a shot at the College World Series.

Congratulations to the Cardinals. That was truly a team effort to get past Missouri, considering the full use of your team's pitching over the weekend, but the bats really picked up the slack. Now go get those Cowboys.
