Louisville beats #11 Missouri 4-3
The Cards knocked off #1 seed and regional host Missouri just a few minutes ago. Helluva game! Mizzou had runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the 9th down 4-3 with 1 out but UofL survived. the Cards and Tigers will play to see who advances to the Super Regionals tomorrow at 2:00 est.

Other Big East action....Rutgers and Oregon State was postponed and will play tomorrow. St. Johns trails Costal Carolina in an elimination game 6-5 as they head to the top of the 9th

We'll see if the Cards can do it one more time.

This baseball thing is new to all of us, but Jurich is determined to get all of UofL's sports to the top; we'll just have to learn as we go along.

By the way, welcome to this board CardsForThree. This is a great Big East Board; glad you found your way here.

This board mostly consists of a handful of posters from all the BE football schools, and they are all good people. We don't smack eachother here (there are other boards for that), but rather we all unite and fend off the naysayers 05-mafia who try to downgrade the Big East.

(we'll kick the ACC's @sses once again in football and basketball next season 03-lmfao)

It wouldn't have taken much with the very limited successful history of UofL's baseball, but Sunday was the best day in program history.

Over the course of 8 hours, we knock off #19 RPI Miami, and #13 RPI Missouri on their home field. To say our pitching is depleted after 4 games in 3 days doesn't begin to tell the story, and Mizzou is apparantely starting their ace, despite that he threw a complete game on Friday. We may see a few innings from UofL's #2, but it'll be a team effort to get 9 innings of pitching. No matter what happens, the large senior class has really cemented a great season to remember for themselves!

Good luck to the Cards today!

UofL sports are having an amazing year. Anyone would have to admit that what your athletic department has accomplished is very impressive.
