IRL vs Champ Car
Eleven years later and I'm STILL bitter at Tony George for ruining American open-wheel racing. Yeah I can hold a grudge. To this day I refuse to help Tony's TV numbers by watching an IRL race....and that includes the Indy 500.

He splits the series, wanting to go a different direction....strictly oval racing in the US. Look what the hypocrite is doing now, racing on road/street courses and branching out overseas.

I'll take Champ Car and Formula One any day over IRL.

:bustacap: Tony George

RE: IRL vs Champ Car
So now they're merged. Ugh. I'm glad there's one series now, but I wish they had used the Champ cars and retained more of their races. I'll miss the standing start and I'll sleep during the ovals.
