You probably remember that game like it was yesteray. What were you thinking when you watched Jordan drop 63 against Boston? :drevil:
They lost. That's all I need to know.

You do realize that Boston team had some of the greatest players in NBA history on it. And you do realize that Jordan had no one around him then. I mean absolutely no one. If the Bulls actually won that game (on the road no less), it would have been one of the most impressive things to take place in sports history.

So, that's the only thing you know about the game? Alright, then. I thought you'd at least bring a more compelling argument.
That's not the only thing I know about the game, but the Bulls lost. M.J. could have went all Kobe (in the regular season) and dropped 81 on them, and it still wouldn't have been as impressive as LBJ last night if they lose.

The series was 2-2.
It's the eastern conference finals.
It's in Detroit.

Not only does LeBron drop 48, 9 and 7; he scores the teams last 30 points (or there about), and hits the game winning shot with 2 seconds left. His team wins, they go up 3-2 and now are going back home.

You play to win the game.

You're comparing a time in the NBA that pretty much sucks right now to an era that was the height of the NBA.

I'm not comparing era's. Both were amazing preformances. LeBron won. Jordan lost.

Thanks flamz.

7, I still think you have a better argument in you. I'm not opposed to hearing out an argument for why Lebron's moment was better, but at least make a better argument that the Bulls lost. That strips ALL context from the moment. Hypothetical: Was Jordan's 22 pts in a mundane first round victory in 97 a more impressive effort than his dropping 63 in a loss against a team full of Hall of Famers?

Nope. You're missing my point.

Jordan's performance was amazing, as was LeBron's last night.

Jordan lost. LeBron won.

The sick game, and his last Bulls game were more impressive then his 63 point game at the Gaaaaden.

RE: LeBron.
I get what you're saying, Jordan Lost/Lebron won. Ok, Lebron gets the advantage in the "who won" department, but again, you are stripping ALL other context from each moment. That's an inconclusive argument for me.

I have to run. Enjoy the argument.

ps- let me add one more thing. I don't know who's performance was better. I'm open to hearing it out, but you need to give me more if you want me to buy what you're saying.

The sick game was, but I'm not so sure his last game was. 63 against a team full of HOF's is about as good as it gets. Yeah he made the shot to win a title and had a clutch steal on Malone in the final minute as well. But 63 on a team loaded with some of the best talent to ever grace a basketball court? I'll have to go with that one no matter what the result was.

I think you've got to look at the teams they were playing as well. I would take the '87 Celtics over the '07 Pistons anyday. The Pistons claim they pride themselves on defense, but there was absolutely no defense and LeBron has clear lanes to the rim numerous times at the game.

Although I like LeBron and it was an outstanding performance, I think Jordan's game against the Celtics was better performance.

RE: LeBron.
LaBron's performance will truely be one of the most memorable in the history of the NBA................right up there with MJ's performance(s), or even the game that Reggie Miller scored eight points in the final 8.9 seconds to deliver a stunning 107-105 victory over the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on May 7, 1995. (not that I'm a big Reggie fan, but that was really amazing)

RE: LeBron.
You guys have to realize that game Jordan scored 63 was during his second year in the league after being injured early in the season. Also, he was playing against one of the best teams in NBA history with a number of different players that are now in the hall of fame. Btw, back then teams actually played defense; not taking anything away from the Pistons but they are not even close to the same team as the Celtics were. Yeah, the Bulls lost the game but Jordan had nobody on that team that year.
