'08 Football Schedule
Any word on non-conference opponents other than the opener vs Birmingham-Southern? I say "non-conference" because I'm assuming we'll play an 8-game PFL schedule, although no official announcement has even been made that we'll be a member.

I saw that PFL member and future rival Davidson is playing UNC Pembroke next year (UNCP's first year of football). I initially thought scheduling UNCP would be an obvious choice for CU, but someone else was recently of the opinion that perhaps we shouldn't play another brand new program for a while. Any thoughts on this?

Check out Lurking Dog's PFL messageboard. Good info about all this non-scholly/PFL stuff there. "League Disparity" is a particularly interesting thread.

I don't know why not it might make bad football look a little better.

Or make bad football look even worse!

A matchup between two new and fairly close-by programs would certainly be intriguing, but you definitely don't want to lose that one.

Schedule won't be finalized for a little while. As far as playing new programs, the game against Birmingham Southern will be the first game for both programs. BSC is starting up the program at the Division III level.
