I think the refs were caught watching the game-- and then it was too late..... oh well.... (cant change anything now) and the last thing I want people to do is come over here and say we are "whining" about one call!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" /> complete and total breakdown in the second half

If Williams makes his free throw like a POY should, you wouldn't have had to worry about Boozer getting fouled.

At the end of the game officals let them play that is the only reason why they called no foul. Only on blatant fouls like the Coverdale one

okay... let's get off of the last play of the game.... Duke was up by 17 points at one point... they dominated the first half.... Duke should not have even been in the position of needing that last foul called! They were a completely different team in the second half-- and the game should not have come down to needing Williams free throw OR Boozer's lay-up. They should have continued taking care of business in the second half just like the first-- instead, they folded... ):

Yep Tasha, b/c we know that the Duke team that plays 100% (the team we know that they CAN BE)-- could have won it tonight...

There were MANY questionable calls for duke and indiana and as a Terps fan, I've learned that there are many bad calls, but refs are refs, and the zebras have the final word. If you complain about the final non-call on boozer, i could complain about something in the first half where indiana got a bad call.

Yeah, we blew it, simple as that. Jason needs to hit that free throw, but yeah, Boozer needs to go HARD TO THE RACK, not try to bank it in. But he was fouled, but they never call that stuff at the end like that. Now, I just have to say, GO EVERYONE BUY MARYLAND!! F THE TWERPS.

Duke got screwed on that last play, no doubt. Boozer was mugged. But, as someone said, a call early in the first half that was missed is just as important as one missed at the end of the game -- both can potentially cost a team the game. The ones at the end are just under more scrutiny. The same can said for players -- a game isn't won or lost by a player at the end of the game... it's won over the course of the game by the whole team.

There are only bad refs if calls are continually missed throughout the game, especially if it gives one team an unfair advantage (over the course of the game). And, you have to expect for the refs to let most anything go at the end of the game.

That said, let me say that this game doesn't take anything out of the great season that Duke had, in my mind. When you think about it, they had four losses -- and three were last-second losses that they almost pulled out. That is phenomenal.

Blaming losses on officiating is known as "Terping". Duke blew a 17 point lead, It's over we'll just borrow the long worn out cry of the Heels "wait 'til next year"!

It's nothing personal, I just don't like Dayne Phife. He's just a prettier Steve Blake. And I would execute Steve Blake if given the chance.
