Big time! I was rooting for Lipscomb so badly. Stetson is gonna be tough...

Mercer loses their first game in typical heart-breaking style. The last three tourney losses are by 1, and now 2 of them are in extra innings.

On top of that, Mercer now is forced to play Stetson in an elimination game at 11 AM tomorrow.

The winner of that plays Belmont in the night cap.

JU plays G-Webb in an elimination game in the middle of that.

Mercer is eliminated by Stetson.

Speaking of which, where do you stand on the "Do you root for who beat you?" issue? Like, if you lose to Stetson, would you want them to win the world series or get knocked out the next two games by 15 run losses? This has always been a hard question for me and I don't know why. It really doesn't matter

In this case I want them out, so that the A-Sun can get 2 bids to the NCAA's.

Stetson has been so tough on the Bears though, I think I'd want them out either way!

I just realized the last 4 baseball tourney losses for Mercer are all by 1 run, and 3 in extra innings.

#3 Belmont vs. #4 Jacksonville for the title. Belmont has 2 games to win 1. I still wouldn't count JU out of this one...

And this is great because the A-Sun will be a 2-Bid league once again. Further reminding us why baseball could be a monster sport (once again) in the near future of the A-Sun :)

I'm rooting for the Dolphins, but either way, it's good to see that the A-Sun will have two representatives.

I'm a bit surprised at the result of that Belmont-Stetson game . . . man, what happened to the Hatters in that one?

i think the hatters took their opponent lightly, and it also hurts when they knew they were in regardless and when u know that, u dont play as hard. i'm hoping for Belmont to win
