I was very interested to read that Dominic Anderson was moved to Safety. That is pulling a page out of Holtz's book by moving running backs to DB. He has been very successfull doing it claiming that usually the best athletes from high school play RB.

I am so excited about football season coming up.

How suspect is our O-Line? I thought that we return several men who were in the rotation. It cannot be all bad.

I am more concerned with our LB's and DB's. I know we return most of the secondary, and they had a fair amount of INT's, but they gave up way too many yards.

O-Line will be fine, even though we lose studs in Collins, Azzolina, and Moosbrugger. The other guys got plenty of reps to be ready. We did lose two key LBs in Hopkins and Kargbookorogie, but we gain Georgia transfer Brad White, who looks to be the reincarnation of Nick Bender. He, along with Kellen Brantley and Mike Hamlar will probably start. The secondary should actually be a strong point next year. They are young, but they attack. I like a lineup of McGruder and King at corners, and Bracy and Williams at safeties just fine.

Thinking back on it, I think a big reason for the yards given up in the secondary was the lack of a pass rush at times. The QB had about 20 damn seconds to sit back there and draw up a play in the dirt if the first 4 receivers were not open.

Hopefully our improved D-line will help that out.
