What's wrong with David Wright?
He's 0-2 today with 4 LOB. He's now hitting .253 with 0 HR's and 6 RBI. His OPS is an appalling .703! My question is, have the pitchers figured something out, or is he playing hurt? I guess who could just be cold, but if that's so, then this is one long cold streak. If the pitchers have figured him out, he better re-adjust, because the daily news, NY Post and the mentally challenged fans are not a forgiving bunch.

He didn't hit for much power the last couple of months last year, and that's carried over into this year. I don't know what the problem is. He's good enough that I'll just say April was an anamoly, but he bears watching.

are you telling me that one HR derby can throw off a great hitter for this long? I mean, he's had 6 HR's in his last 343 AB's. That's worse than awful.

Bobby Abreu lost his power after he won the Derby in '05. I'm not saying there's anything to it, but it makes you wonder.
Then again, Howard won it last year and he killed the ball after that.

yeah, but if you look at the stats, abreu had like one great HR season in the past 5 years. He was basically a 20/season type of player.
