Laroche for Gonzalez. The Braves get a guy they've needed for 15 years and the pirates get exactly what they need. I could see Laroche hitting 35-40 in that ballpark and i could see gonzalez getting 35-40 saves with a 2.00 ERA/ I honestly don't think either team came out on top. But it was definitely a great move for both of them. The odd thing is, what are the braves gonna do for power when chipper gets hurt? Andruw will be the only guy capable of hitting over 30. Rumor is, the Braves have a young guy who's gonna replace laroche, but it's highly unlikely that this rookie can hit more than 20.

Thorman can definitely play. He won't match LaRoche's production but he is capable of hitting 20 home runs.

I didn't like the trade at first because I wouldn't have traded LaRoche unless we got a young starter in return, but I'm starting to warm up to it after signing Craig Wilson to platoon with Thor the Destroyer.
