Troop Surge in Iraq - Thoughts?
From the stories coming out it looks like Bush will look to increase troops to Iraq to try and stabilize Baghdad. Good idea?

My personal opinion is it's a waste of time. Even with more troops we won't be able to wage the war in the manner that can get security in the city. We need to use those troops to accelerate the training of the Iraqi forces and then pull back and let them take over the city.

As long as it's political, it is a waste of time. Liberals have already lost one war for us and they're doing their damndest to lose another.

This war was lost as soon as the idiots (President Bush and the boneheads in Congress who followed him like sheep, Dems and Reps included) decided to invade Iraq. This war was a bad idea from the beginning.

It depends on what the new soldiers duty will be as to whether it will be successful. I hope it is to intesnsify the training of the Iraqi army, but IMO Iraq is a lost cause as evidenced by the hanging of Saddam. The Shi'ites are about to get payback baby!!!!

Too bad President Bush and congress are playing politics with these soldiers lives. I think he is only sending in troops to thumb his nose as the Dems, since most of them ran on the promise to not send more troops and bring them home.

I disagree with this totally. To believe that troops are political pawns for Bush is to believe he's an evil person. While you may believe that it's simply not true. I have no doubt he agonizes over these decisions and doesn't want to see more troops killed. He does understand the big picture though and what losing in Iraq would mean.

I listened last night to one of Olbyloons rants on MSNBC out of curiosity. That guy is full blown off the reservation. He's nuts. It's simply unimaginable to him, and you apparantly, that Bush is doing this because he believes it's the right thing to do as opposed to try and cover up some lie the looney left believes he concocted just to go to war.

People that believe that, like Olbyloon, RobertN and others are sick and twisted in the head and so blinded by hatred they've become the lowest form of life in this country. It's pathetic.

Niner,

Good Afternoon. You don't care for the new and improved Machiavelli? Kickin terrorist's in the balls since 07' Dogger? All right I'll tone it down. Hope you and everyone's families had a great Holiday Season. I tell you what in SW Fl. it was Feliz Navidad. It's almost a different country down there. I was impressed with the hustle down there of the migrant community. Every morning about five Mexicans came around and did yard work around my rental. Every step was with a purpose. I might move down there and have agroup of them build me a house.

Just tanned and refreshed. Some of the locals were a little snooty though. You ever heard of too much money? Could that be possible? That's another great country song. Too much fun... what's that mean. It's like a girl too pretty a car too fast......................

Yes it's all a vast left-wing conspiracy against you Kev. Seriously, nothing wrong in seeing some professional help, by help I mean hooker, I'll chip in $20 if you'll get in a better mood.
