Jeff Fisher is an incredible coach. I mean in an age when coaches get fired every other year, the guy has been there forever. (the damned team was still the Houston Oilers when he started) Whenever you think he is finished, he comes back and has another solid season. The only thing missing from his resume is a Superbowl victory, he is only 48 so he still has plenty of time to get one. He came within a yard of beating St. Louis.

I'm loving every freaking second of this..

Vince Young will win a Super Bowl before Peyton Manning does.

I think its funny how when Dungy was at Tampa Bay the problem was his offense was ****, and now in Indy, he couldnt stop my grandma from rushing for 150 yards.

It's just that natural born leader, championship winning mentality...having the ability to carry your team on your back and actually FINISHING the job.

This is a quality Vince Young clearly possesses. I'm not sure if Peyton ever has or ever will. The Colts' window is rapidly closing.

He is going to make life hell for the entire Houston Texans franchise for however long his career lasts. The box office this guy could have been for them, even before he turned the team around, would have been off the charts. He is a freaking hero in Houston, Texas....but no...the Texans went for the "safe" pick in Mario Williams.

Well, the thing is, I cant really blame them for passing on Young, he was a BIT of a question mark heading into the draft, but I cannot overlook them passing on Reggie Bush,

Bush and Young are both one of a kind talents.

Young is a beast, he is like a faster version of Culpepper back when Culpepper was actually good.

That's pretty much the way everybody in the United States sees it...except for the city of Houston, Texas. That city practically watched Vince Young grow up. They knew how good he was. And that's why it's going to be so hard for the Texans franchise now, because the city is taking the attitude of, "See, we told you..."

Wilbon on PTI just compared him to John Elway, I like that comparison, both big strong armed QBS and Elway could run early in his career. VY is probably faster though.

Saw that as well.

All I can say for the Texans is did their team need a Mario Williams type player MORE than a QB or a RB to make their particular team better? I wouldn't say Mario is a bust for the Texans.

It is way too early to say whether or not Mario is a bust, but the reality is, the Texans would be a much better team with Vince Young, its not so much that David Carr is bad so much as it is his line is horrible, and we may never know how good he is. Vince has the ability to make plays even when the pocket breaks down, Carr is a sitting duck.

As for Bush, given that Dominic Davis hasnt played at all this year, its hard to say that they wouldnt be better off with him as well.

In the end, they probably would have been better off taking D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

These same things that are being said about Vince Young were being said about Michael Vick in 2002. He could be a great player, but whether he developes as a passer will determine if he can live up to the hype.

Aha, but Michael Vick was not a rookie in '02, its much more impressive (and rare) when a rookie QB makes plays, and more importantly wins games. Really Big Ben and Vince are the only rookie QBs to have this much success.

Yeah, this will get even worse for the Texans if they give up on David Carr after this year. From taking Tony Boselli with the first pick in the expansion draft, and then watching him never play a down, to passing on Vince Young, the Texans have just made terrible decisions the past four years.

As for comparing him to Big Ben, the major difference is that all Ben did was manage an offense that had great players around him, Vince Young Was the offense for a team that had mediocre players around him. What he did was much more impressive.
