Playoff field is set
Eight teams are now officially in. Mets, Cardinals, Dodgers and Padres in the NL, Yankees, Tigers, Twins, A's in the AL.

Only thing still up for grabs is seeding. The Tigers are trying their damndest to throw away the AL Central by blowing a six-run lead to the Royals. They're currently tied 8-8 in the ninth. Twins are winning.

The NL is pathetic, its gotta be either the Dodgers or Padres in the World Series, Id take the Dodgers, every other team tried their darnedest not to make the playoffs. In the AL its gonna come down to the Yankees or the Twins.

what about the A's? they have the best rotation. zito, harden, haren and loaiza are better than any rotation in the AL.

My predictions...

NLDS: Mets over Dodgers in 5, Padres over Cardinals in 4

ALDS: Yankees over Tigers in 4, Twins over A's in 5

NLCS: Mets over Padres in 5

ALCS: Yankees over Twins in 6

World Series: Yankees over Mets in 6

That Mets-Dodgers series is a really tough one to call.

I know, wouldn't it suck? I'm rooting for everyone but the New York teams.

Its like everyone (the media) acts like everyone cares but really no one outside of new york gives a ****. The last one must have been absolutely brutal for people on the west coast.

i hope it's the padres/yankees, with the yankees winning. i wanna see a-rod get that ring and play well on the way to it. he deserves it. in the NL it's a lesser of 4 evils. i hate the mets, i despise larussa, for obvious reasons i hate the dodgers. That leaves the padres. i respect towers and bochy. they're both great at what they do.

GDawgs, Usually I am on board with you when it comes to predictions. I'll have to step out on my own a little on this one,

Dodgers over Mets / Padres over Cards

Yankees over Tigers / A's over Twins

Dodgers over Padres / A's over Yankees

WS is a toss-up. Will have to go with the A's since Harden is coming back.

It's wide-open, that's for sure. I'm not sold on any one of these series'. They really all could go either way.

I cant remember baseball playoffs where so many teams were playing poorly going in, The Cards, the Mets, The tigers and even the A's struggled quite a bit down the stretch, its pathetic. There are so many teams struggling, its almost hard to count them out because of their struggles (they are bound to play against another struggling team).

Mets win wednesday and the will roll through the rest of the National League. The worse match-up they could of got was the Dodgers, but if the mets pick up game one they have glavine in game two and the offense should pick up one of the games in L. A.

Heres to mr. octobers El Duque and Beltran :towel:

That's the series I'm most interested to see play out. I picked the Mets to win, but now I'm kind of starting to lean towards the Dodgers.
