Citing a person close to the talks, in the Star-Ledger, Dan Graziano writes that Lastings Milledge is not one of the names being discussed with San Francisco in talks regarding RHP Jason Schmidt

this is most likely not gonna happen. at midnight last night, schmidt became a 10 and 5 guy, meaning if he's traded the trade will have to meet all of his demands. if we don't get either pelfrey or milledge, i'll go insane.

you think zito is better than schmidt? plus, the mets don't want zito, they want a power pitcher.

at this point i would trade schmidt straight up for pelfrey. BTW, the marlins will not give you willis for a prospect. he is a prospect, just one that's become an all star already.

as long as we get either pelfrey or milledge, i'm happy.

i still don't get what sabean is waiting for. we just got swept by the freakin pirates. we've lost 5 of 6 to them this year.
